Yuga Aoyama turns out to be U.A’s Traitor - Anime Theories that Turned out to be True

We all had our doubts over Yuga Aoyama but simply ignored the possibility just for him not having enough watch time. However, Chapter 336 of My Hero Academia shocked us by revealing that Aoyama was indeed the traitor who fed All for One every vital intel from U.A.

The chapter also revealed that Aoyama was born without a quirk, but his parents resorted to All for one’s powers to implant a quirk into him. This explains why Aoyama’s naval beam had a damaging effect. It wasn’t Aoyama’s quirk, to begin with, so naturally, his body rejected it. Now, everything comes at a cost, and All for one forced him to infiltrate U.A as a payback.

Dabi is Shoto Todoroki’s Brother - Anime Theories that Turned out to be True

Blue eyes, unwavering will, and unrivaled incinerating powers, everything in Dabi hinted that he could be somehow related to the Todoroki family. We always had our doubts, but Chapter 252 of My Hero Academia confirmed that Dabi’s true identity is Toya Todoroki, Endeavor’s eldest son.

Endeavor finds himself responsible for what happened to Toya, and he must have created the monster we see in Dabi. It all makes sense from the fact that Dabi holds a heavy grudge towards Endeavor and his family.

Eren Goes Back In Time After His Death - Anime Theories that Turned out to be True

The story of Eren Yeager started with him waking up to a terrible nightmare on a sunny day. Tears rolled through his cheeks, and the only thing he remembered was Mikasa’s short hair. Many fans were in the opinion that he witnessed the future events in that dream, but we didn’t pay much attention. However, we had to reconsider the theory since Eren died at the hands of Mikasa, and all the awful things that he dreamt of really happened to him.

It’s rightly said that everything in Attack on Titan is tied up in an endless time loop. The dream he saw that day was far more than any prophecy. In Chapter 138, we saw Eren dreaming of his childhood days in his final moments, where Mikasa said, “See you Later…” Interestingly enough, she heard the exact same words in his first dream, thereby confirming both the dreams are somehow connected. In simple words, Eren dies in the present to wake up in his past with all his memories lost, and the loop continues.

Itadori Yuji Eating the Sukuna Finger Wasn’t a Coincidence - Anime Theories that Turned out to be True

Itadori consumed the Sukuna finger and stepped into the darkness of Jujutsu world of his free will, right? At least that’s what we thought till Kenjaku was introduced in the story. He is an evil sorcerer from the past who survived so long by shifting from one body to another. Right now, he is residing in the lifeless body of Suguru Geto. While in some of the flashback panels, we saw Itadori’s mother with stitches on her head, confirming her to be a Kenjaku vessel.

Thus, I believe that Kenjaku having a child with Itadori Jin (Yuji’s father) is another one of his attempts to create a human-curse hybrid. This ties everything up into a mysterious web. From Yuji’s superhuman strength to him becoming the perfect Sukuna vessel, everything was according to Kenjaku’s plan. Moreover, in the ongoing Culling games, Itadori was identified as a participant even before stepping into a barrier. He immediately infers that this happened due to the presence of Sukuna within him. Now, all the pre-registered are according to contracts made by Kenjaku, thereby confirming that Itadori consuming the cursed finger wasn’t a coincidence. Rather, it’s Kenjaku’s master plan to bring back the King of Curses and harness its powers through the perfect vessel he created.

Kashin Koji is Jiraiya’s Clone - Anime Theories that Turned out to be True

Jiraiya’s death is something that we fans can never get over. Thus, seeing Kashin Koji with uncanny similarities with Jiraiya, we couldn’t stop expecting him to be a new avatar of the Toadsage. Things got even more interesting when Kashin Koji pulled off techniques right from Jiraiya’s arsenal, including Rasengan and Toad summoning. If that’s not enough, Koji’s chakra didn’t trigger Konoha’s security system confirming that his chakra is familiar. This in turn ignited anime fans to come out with fan theories, which subsequently, turned out to be true.

Kashin Koji was initially a double agent who infiltrated Kara with the sole purpose of taking down Isshiki Otsutsuki. He lost his mask while fighting Jigen, and he looks exactly identical to young Jiraiya. Red eye-marks and a nose mole make it obvious that Koji has to be somewhat related to Jiraiya. Moreover, Chapter 47 of Boruto manga confirmed that Koji is an artificial clone of Jiraiya made by Amado.

Aizawa Is Izuku's Uncle - My Hero Academia Theory

Other than Izuku's mom, My Hero Academia fans don't know too much about Izuku's family. According to Tumblr user neubauje, we may have already met one of his relatives: his homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa.

Aizawa's primary quirk is Erasure, which allows him to temporarily disable other people's quirks. However, he also demonstrates some light telekinetic ability, which he uses when he does things like weaponize his scarf. Inko Midoriya, Izuku's mom, also possesses mild telekinetic abilities.

Neubauje speculates this is because they're siblings. Specifically, Aizawa's father possessed powerful telekinetic abilities but deliberately sought out someone with a quirk-canceling ability in the hopes of combining those powers in his children.

In Inko's case, her powers were unimpressive because her mom's quirk-canceling ability actually inhibited her quirk development, but Aizawa inherits them both. The quirk-canceling is also why Izuku is born quirkless; her canceling genes prevent him from inheriting either her telekinetic abilities or the fire quirk his father supposedly had.

All For One Is Izuku's Father - My Hero Academia Theory

There's some pretty strong evidence to suggest that All For One, the main villain of the series, might be Izuku's father. Shigaraki Tomura, All For One's protege, is the grandchild of the woman who trained All Might and passed his powers onto him. It stands to reason that Izuku, All Might's mentee, might also have some kind of connection to All For One.

What's more, All For One had a younger brother who was apparently born quirkless - something Izuku could have inherited if All For One were his dad.

My Hero Academia also makes liberal use of Star Wars references. All For One is likely influenced by Darth Vader, both because of their vast and powerful influence over a villainous organization, and because of the signature headgear that supplies them with oxygen and hides their disfigured appearance. Following this theme, All For One might one day face Izuku in combat and utter a version of Vader's famous line: "Izuku, I am your father."

Aizawa Is Shinso's Father - My Hero Academia Theory

Shota Aizawa may not seem like the fatherly type, but one fan theory posits that he has a son: Hitoshi Shinsou from Class 1-C. This theory arises largely from the fact they look a lot alike, and their quirks both involve controlling other people to some degree. What's more, they're seen walking together on a few occasions during the manga. While these moments could be school-related, they could also be examples of father-son bonding.

If this theory is true, it means Aizawa became a father at a very young age. Though he appears older due to how exhausted he always looks, Aizawa is 30 at the start of the series, while Shinso is 15. While it's not impossible that Aizawa was a teenage father, it adds a much more dramatic element to his life than there would if their age gap was larger. Perhaps Aizawa is actually his uncle, older brother, or cousin?

Everyone Has A Quirk - My Hero Academia Theory

While My Hero Academia canon states that 80% of the population has a quirk of some kind, some fans are skeptical of this claim. According to this theory, rather than being quirkless, 20% of the population simply has a quirk that's useless in most situations.

Reddit user /u/dakotathehuman gives a few interesting examples. A person might have been able to breathe in space, but spent their entire life on Earth and never found out. They might be immune to a specific poison that they never ingest. Or maybe their quirk is noticeable, but doesn't register as a quirk - like their bladder is exceptionally strong, or their farts are completely silent.

There's already an example of a seemingly quirkless person having an ability that no one realized he had. All For One's brother appeared not to have a quirk, but it turned out he had the ability to transfer quirks from one person to another. It's not a huge leap to assume that other quirks could be hidden as well.

The Winged Nomu Is Bakugo's Childhood Friend - My Hero Academia Theory

Nomus are monsters that are an amalgamation of different humans, and therefore they can use a variety of quirks. It's a pretty disturbing concept by itself, but there's a fan theory that makes it even worse. The Winged Nomu specifically targets Izuku, but there's no clear reason why.

According to this theory, one of the former humans this Nomu contained was one of Bakugo's childhood friends. This friend may have briefly gained control of the Nomu's consciousness and targeted Izuku, as that's what Bakugo and his friends did as children.

Is Quirk Singularity the End of My Hero Academia? - My Hero Academia Theory

The final theory is a two-in-one. The first time this theory was mentioned was in the anime by Seiji Shishikura during the training for the hero licenses. The idea is that quirks will continue to get stronger with each generation until humanity can no longer control them. Leading to the destruction of society. This theory has come up a couple of times in the show, including the mentions of a singularity point with Izuku and his quirk. With the idea of a singularity continuing to pop up, fans believe that the show is pulling a Chekhov's gun.

Some fans have theorized that the show might end with the singularity coming true. This could happen during Izuku's lifetime or a time jump where the viewers see it come true. More fans have taken to this theory have the reveal of Eri's quirk. Perhaps more time-based quirks will appear, causing disastrous events. Others believe that All for One might be waiting on the child, which is the start of the singularity; someone with ties to all types of quirks. All for One can then take the powers and be unstoppable with that child. Then again, this could all be speculation and has nothing to do with the end of the series. No one can really know until the end.

Yuno Will Become The Spade Kingdom's King - Black Clover Theory

Yuno's backstory has come to light: he's the crown prince of the Spade Kingdom. Although his goal is to become the wizard king, Yuno's trajectory may change due to learning his connection to the House of Grinberryall.

With Sylph and the spirit dive, Yuno's royalty is foreshadowed due to the crown, cape, and halberd he wields. It's also possible that Yuno will feel the press of responsibility, especially if the dark triad is defeated and the citizens need guidance to rebuild their Kingdom back to its former glory.

Death To Beloved Magic Knight Captains Yami & Vangeance - Black Clover Theory

Captured by the dark triad, Yami and Vangeance are being held as sacrifices in order to restore the Tree of Qliphoth, a channel that connects to the underworld. Their deaths would act as the final objective for the dark triad to create this pathway once again.

While tragic, their deaths would also act as a point of growth for both Asta and Yuno, since it's possible that the two of them would be considered for the roles of captain within their respective squads.

Nozel Silva X Dorothy Unsworth: More Than Co-Captains!? - Black Clover Theory

Although subtle, there exist a few hints that captains Nozel and Unsworth are involved with each other. When talking with Noelle, Dorothy conjures up a version of Nozel in her glamour world that illustrates a personality unlike that of his stand-offish, sullen vibe.

This indicates that Dorothy may see a side of him that only he allows her to see due to his preference for her. Another hint is that Dorothy knows the history behind Noelle's mother's curse. With insider information that is not widely known, it's possible that Dorothy learned this through Nozel himself. Both hints combine and lead to theories that try to speculate on the nature of Nozel and Dorothy's relationship.

Did Licita Really Die? - Black Clover Theory

Asta's backstory is revealed, and his mother, Licita, turns out to be just as strong-willed as he is. She absorbs the mana around her, thus draining her lifeforce as well. With regret, she ends up leaving her son in the care of the Hage church.

Despite this, she ends up raising Liebe, a devil. Licita is forced to confront a powerful foe, and her altercation results in Liebe dwelling within the five-leafed grimoire. While the skirmish indicates a terrible ending for Licita, it's not confirmed that she died. Is it possible that she lives on? It's a wild fan theory with no concrete answer.

Without Magic, Asta Can Avoid The Corruption Of His Grimoire - Black Clover Theory

Asta's lack of magic power, and his staunch belief in never giving up, are the true source of his powers. This theory indicates that a devil relies on magic in order to manipulate the heart of the five-leaf clover grimoire's owner.

Because Asta possesses no mana, he's immune to the devil's corruption in the same sense that he's able to cut through the magic of other mages. This sets Asta up to potentially utilize his grimoire in ways that even a devil couldn't expect.

Asta & Yuno Take Over The Roles Of King & Wizard King - Black Clover Theory

Asta and Yuno both have the goal of becoming the wizard king, but only one of them can succeed the title. In light of this, there's the possibility that Yuno becomes the wizard king due to the strength of his magical powers and cold, stoic resilience.

On the other hand, Asta wields impressive strength and the power of a devil. He harnesses those powers for good and is able to connect with people regardless of their social class. This way, Asta and Yuno will both be in positions of power to help make Clover Kingdom a better place.

The Water Spirit Will Become Noelle's Familiar - Black Clover Theory

Spirit magic is rare and considered a blessing. When a mage is chosen, it signifies the powerful magical potential they possess.  Thus far, the wind spirit Sylph has teamed up with Yuno, and the fire spirit Salamander has found its way to Fuegoleon, the captain of the Crimson Lions.

Noelle's character development is aligned with Asta's and therefore, similar to Yuno's as well. With her potential as a water mage and power trajectory, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Undine, the water spirit, will find itself supporting Noelle in the future.

Asta's Mythical Connection To High Demon Astaroth - Black Clover Theory

In common demonology, Astaroth is considered a Grand Duke of Hell, and in modern religious practices, he's a part of an evil trinity, along with Beelzebub and Lucifer. It's also thought that Astaroth is able to command legions of demons.

Thus far, Charmy has been revealed to be part dwarf, so it stands to reason that Asta might be part demon. This leads to the conclusion that if Asta has demon blood, and therefore no mana, then in exchange he'll have control over demons. Wild, right?

Sally Becomes A Member Of The Black Bulls - Black Clover Theory

Originally conspiring with the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Sally is a scientist at heart. She's insanely curious about Asta, his lack of magic, and his grimoire. Sally is not evil at heart, so when Asta offers up his body in the name of scientific experimentation in return for her help, she readily agrees.

After the showdown against the elves, Sally is willing to change her ways if it means she'll be able to experiment on her heart's content. Not to mention, Captain Yami has no qualms with allowing an oddball or criminal into his squad, as seen with Gauche and Grey.
