BTS’s Jungkook And Charlie Puth Sing About Memories Following Them “Left And Right” In Vibrant MV

BTS’s Jungkook and Charlie Puth have released their highly-anticipated song “Left and Right”!

Previously on June 16 local time, Charlie Puth announced that he and Jungkook were collaborating on a new single called “Left and Right,” which will be featured on his upcoming album “Charlie.” After revealing a brief snippet of the song on TikTok, Charlie Puth declared that if the song racked up 500,000 pre-saves, it would be released on June 24.

Sure enough, the day has come, and the music video is out! With sweet lyrics that are bound to get stuck in your head, the two artists showed off their harmony in a colorful music video that will surely be replayed many times.

This isn’t the first time Jungkook and Charlie Puth worked together. They previously collaborated for the special performance at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in Korea back in 2018.

BTS’s Jimin Explains Why His OST Collaboration With Ha Sung Woon For K-Drama “Our Blues” Is So Meaningful To Him

BTS‘s Jimin shared that collaborating with solo singer-songwriter, and former HOTSHOT and Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon was extra meaningful to him.

In an interview with Weverse Magazine following the release of BTS’s anthology album Proof, Jimin revealed his personal struggles during the past couple of years, the direction in which he wants to take his solo music, and his experience collaborating with IRL best friend Ha Sung Woon.

After the release of Jimin and Ha Sung Woon‘s record-breaking collaborative OST for tvN K-Drama Our Blues, “With You,” Jimin held a live broadcast. During it, he told ARMYs, “Starting with this, I’m going to try many things.” So, interviewer Myungseok Kang asked him, “Are you currently working on new material?” This prompted Jimin to reveal that he plans to explore a mature, explicit, and raw side of himself in his new music.

Later, Myungseok Kang and Jimin talked more about his collaboration with Ha Sung Woon. Kang asked, “Was it a conscious decision to collaborate with someone with whom you have a well-known friendship?” Jimin replied, “Yes.”

Jimin and Ha Sung Woon have been publicly close friends for years. Yet, many fans may not realize just how far back they go. So, Jimin detailed their close bond.

"He was the first friend I made when I moved to Seoul. He’s the first non-school friend I ever made if you don’t include the other BTS members. We used to say, ‘Someday, when we both make it big, it would be something special if we made a song together and sent it out into the world.’ That was the meaning behind it: something I wanted to do someday." — Jimin

So, “With You” actually came to be due to a promise long ago. The friends have been talking about it for seven years!

Myungseok Kang: I guess you could say it all started from a promise made long ago.

Jimin: Right. We’d been talking about that for seven years, practically. We would show each other our songs or anything else we worked on whenever we made something. We kept that up and said, “Let’s try making some music together,” and then we really did. It was fun.

Myungseok Kang then asked if any of this influenced the tone with which Jimin chose to sing the song. He noted, “You tried singing in a completely different voice than usual.”

"You’re right. It gave me a lot of practice because it was really hard right from the beginning, so I had to redo it over and over. I kept saying, ‘I’ll try that again from the top,’ and changing a bunch of stuff, but it was a lot of practice, and it was a song for a soundtrack, so I tried really, really hard to give it a simpler sound than anything I usually did before." — Jimin

Myungseok Kang added, “It’s closer to your speaking voice than your singing voice. It seems like you must have tried a lot of different things in detail while recording, looking at the way your voice overlaps with SUNG WOON’s in the chorus or how the emotion in the melody is reminiscent of the first self-written song you ever released, ‘Promise,’ even though you didn’t write any of the music this time.” Jimin revealed that they “tried so many different things.”

"We called each other all the time, and I’m really grateful for the producer who worked with us because I was actually all finished recording, and I kept saying I wanted to try it again from the beginning when we were all finished recording, and I would say, ‘I’ll try it one more time,’ and I could tell that was a lot of hard work for them. It made me feel a lot of different things and it was an important learning experience. I think there were many moments that made me feel that way while we were working on it." — Jimin

“With You” is certainly an emotional track. It is for an emotionally heavy K-Drama, after all. Still, it is personal for Jimin too. So, Myungseok Kang asked, “Would you say that ‘With You’ was a way for you to try and find the emotions that you wanted to express?” Jimin compared it to “Promise,” both emotional songs of his.

"I took an MBTI test recently and it said I’m extroverted, but when I made ‘Promise’ I was really introverted and feeling depressed. I think ‘Promise’ was a chance for me to look at myself. I managed to come out of my shell a little thanks to that song. The first version of ‘With You’ we recorded was very emotional and there was a long process involved in relieving that emotion. ‘I’ll soften up a bit. … I’ll try it a little softer. … Ah, right—a little bit softer now. … I’ll just try it nice and simple.’ Like that. I wanted to show sadness and a desperate longing expressed in a simple style." — Jimin

BTS Have Very Different Approaches To An “Ending Fairy” Competition During “Music Bank”

There were a lot of exciting things that ARMYs were treated to after BTS made a comeback with their newest album PROOF. As well as performances, live broadcasts, and new content, the group finally made their return to music for the first time in over two years.

Although the performances themselves are exciting, one thing that netizens always look forward to is the ending fairies. Over the years, they have developed and changed with time and it has become a huge part of each performance.

Well, even though BTS has been away from music shows for a while, it seems like they haven’t lost touch with the perfect way to do an ending fairy. In fact, they seem to be embracing it and reacting to their roles in very different ways.

On June 17 (KST), the group returned to Music Bank to perform their title track “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment),” and another track from their album “For Youth.” As expected, they slayed every minute with their talent, visuals, and charisma.

At the end of the show, the group cemented their dominance by winning that week… by beating themselves. They also decided that, in front of all their fans, they were going to do an “Ending Fairy Competition” when they wanted to show off their “Ending expressions.”

Oldest member Jin went first and he had no worries about going for a sexy pose and even giving a little kiss to ARMYs…

Suga stook to what he loved doing the most, as shown by the previous day’s performance, and went for an over-the-top moment, where he seemed to be exaggerating his breathing.

Leader RM seemed more hesitant as he stayed safe with his pose, before adding, “Ah, I’m breaking into a cold sweat.” Yet, V came back with the confidence everyone expected, even explaining that he needed to go to the front of the stage to do it. It was worth the wait as it combined cute, sexy, and everything in the middle.

Of course, Jimin couldn’t be beaten by V and took himself to the front of the stage. Well, it’s almost impossible to even describe his ending pose in a way that isn’t just purely iconic.

According to Jin, J-Hope was the “master” of ending fairies, and it isn’t surprising considering how he probably managed to send the entire arena into meltdown with his charm.

Jungkook was the final member and as the youngest, he definitely has some pressure to deliver with an iconic ending fairy. He definitely didn’t disappoint as he dialed the sexiness of his pose to 11000% and unsurprisingly sent the audience into meltdown.

As expected, each of the members’ personalities was represented through their ending fairies, whether it was RM being shy, J-Hope dazzling with his visuals, or maknae line being dramatic AF. With one more show to go, it will be interesting to see the lengths BTS go to ensure they will go down in “Ending Fairy” history.

BTS’s V Posts A Selfie Of Himself Basically Shirtless, And It’s Sending ARMYs Into Meltdown

It has definitely been an eventful few days for BTS! The group released their latest album PROOF and has been treating ARMYs to so much content to coincide with their 9th anniversary, including performances, pictures, and live broadcasts. Is it any surprise that fans haven’t had a moment to rest?

Well, one member has proven that time after time and has recently fully sent the internet into meltdown with just one selfie, and it’s BTS’s V.

V started the week by hosting a surprise live broadcast where he not only updated fans on the state of his friendship tattoo but also had a nice nap in front of millions of people.

June 16 was no different and there were so many things for ARMYs to look forward to, particularly BTS’s return to music shows with their performances of “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” and “For Youth” on Mnet‘s M Countdown.

From the minute the members stepped on stage, they created magic and it was emotional for ARMYs watching worldwide.

As expected, V also looked absolutely amazing throughout, not only showcasing his flawless visuals but undeniable talent and charisma on the stage. For many, it was already enough to send them into a meltdown, especially with the beautiful outfits.

Well, V wasn’t done yet. The show hadn’t even been over for an hour when the idol gave ARMYs the shock of their lives on Instagram when he posted some behind-the-scenes shots from the Mnet filming. In the photos, the captions were spelled to say “Mcau” which is short for M Countdown.

At first glance, both images seem nice, with V almost showing a before and after of his outfit.

That was until they zoomed closer in on the first image to see that V wasn’t wearing a shirt! With just a pale blue cardigan, V was literally wearing nothing on the top apart from the jacket and a gold chain…

Considering the picture, ARMYs worldwide quickly lost their minds after seeing the picture and rightly took to social media to share these views.

Of course, with the huge number of tweets, it wasn’t surprising that “KIM TAEHYUNG” was trending worldwide with everyone gushing about V on M Countdown and his recent selfies on Instagram.

V was smart by putting these selfies on his story as they vanish after 24 hours. Yet, there are millions of ARMYs who have already taken screenshots and will continue fangirling over it for a very long time.

BTS Jimin’s China Fansite Gets Punished - Trending news

It was announced that BTS Jimin‘s Chinese fansite, Jimin Bar, has been penalized by Weibo for crowdfunding for their recent airplane advertisement. Jimin Bar had planned on the custom airplane to celebrate his birthday.

This comes in line with the recent measures by Chinese authorities to clamp down on what they are calling “irrational” fan activity. They had previously planned a gorgeous advertisement by wrapping a plane from JejuAir with Jimin’s birthday banner, something that had not been seen before in K-Pop.

An announcement by Weibo delivered the verdict on Jimin Bar’s project. Jimin Bar has been banned from posting on the platform for 60 days.

Weibo Community Announcement

"Since Cyberspace Administration of China announced “Additional Measures To Clean Up Fandom Chaos”, Weibo has been doing related clean-up as requested, posting several announcements to advocate supporting celebrities within reason and to maintain order within this community. Netizens reported to us that, in April, an account started a crowdfunding event for a “customized airplane” on other platforms, which violated the rules. Recently, they posted the results of the event on Weibo. The contents of the post included elements of inducing and comparing, which is a serious issue. We immediately banned the account JIMIN_JMC (also known as Jimin Bar) from posting for 60 days and deleted the related Weibo posts. Weibo is strictly against the irrational support of celebrities, and is ready to take serious actions. Weibo remains committed to fulfill our social and corporate responsibilities, and has strengthened our governance over fandoms in order to clean up their online conduct. Our entire platform is using the same standards while governing and setting the rules, without a single difference. Once an act of supporting a celebrity is determined to be irrational, we will deal with it seriously. Going forward, we will continue to make periodic announcements on actions taken. We all need to work hard together in order to clean up the fandoms; our users are welcomed to give us tips and feedback on this matter." — Weibo
